Every project or research initiative has a story behind it. Maybe the story is the impact an innovative solution will make or the team that worked to create it; regardless, by taking a strategic look at what will connect with your audience, I find the right angle to reach them.
My life-long-learner mantra and passion for communications give me the know-how and motivation to tackle a difficult topic.
I am in the business of amplifying your already marvelous message and turning it up a few notches so that your audience hears it loud and clear.
Whether it is through a news or feature story, a social media post, or a newsletter, I believe the key to a successful communication strategy is storytelling, and I live to tell stories. I work with complex topics and break them down into comprehensive stories for wide audiences. Intricate stories are meant to be told, and I am always ready to take on a challenge.
In my job as a digital content developer for the Volgenau School of Engineering, I work on growing and expanding our social media following with high-quality and consistent content. Within the first two months in my role, I started our first LinkedIn page, which has now grown to over 1,400 followers. I have also re-vamped our Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook accounts by starting extensive social media campaigns and analyzing analytics. I have worked on social media in my past roles as well, and I continue to cultivate my knowledge through monitoring trends, testing and always looking at the numbers.
All stories can be told many different ways and through many different mediums, and it is vital to be able to adapt content. I have created podcasts, produced video interviews and designed internal and external-facing newsletters. I have also worked extensively with WordPress and Drupal, and have molded my stories for both digital and print.
